Hi Everyone!

Glad to be here. :)

I'm interested in using Lemur on iPad, to control DAW software on Mac, specifically Reaper and Pro Tools.

I've been using Pro Tools since the mid-90's. I'm a relative noobie with Reaper, though I've had the software since v.3.

Pro Tools has it's strengths, but lacks flexibility for the kind of writing I do. Within the past year, I've tried extensive demos with Cubase and Studio One, but even more flexible and potentially more powerful is Reaper 5. It's very deep, even though you have to program a lot of the key commands yourself to really get it humming. So far I've been able to get it to do pretty well everything I could do in PT. Though Reaper is very stable, it does have it's rough spots - what DAW doesn't? That said, Cockos makes a new release available roughly every 3 to 4 weeks, and installing the upgrade takes about 5 minutes. Great manual too!

Reaper uses a derivation of the Mackie Control protocol. The Binder template for Reaper in Lemur looks very interesting, which is my primary reason for being here.

To any kindred spirits, please say hello. :)

Online forums are all about inter-communication and mutual support. So as I said, glad to be here.

Cheers,
Wayne
