How to map well Lemur to Ableton

Post by nbe06 »

Hi.
I have Lemur on Ipad, with a template with 16 Knobs (in the future i will make some page for each instruments used)

On Ableton Live, i have configured 16 parameters of my vst:

Now, if i want to control these parameters easily, i create a User remote script. Work well with "blue hand" of ableton, but only for the first 8 parameters. In the UserConfiguration.txt i have only Encoder1 to 8.

So, i map the 16 knobs of my lemur to the 16 parameters in Live with the midi mapping function. On the midi map browser, each parameters path is:
"TRACK1 | PARAMETER"

If i want to control 2 instances of the same VST on 2 different track, when i map the same control into the second VST and i turn my knob, ableton live act globally and not to context, and change 2 parameters at the same time.

I have logic pro x too, and the midi map function act to context, when i map, logic map to VST and not to TRACK - VST. When i have the plugin window open, my knob change only change the parameters for this contextual vst.

How can make the same on Ableton?

Thank you

Unless you find a way to use a remote script with 16 "controllers" for device control, you cant do that by static midi mapping.
