So if I bought these things, would it work? The iConnect MIDI doesn't appear to be available anymore due to some patent issues.

Hi Komodovaran,
MIDI Mobilizer 1 does not support CoreMIDI you should get the newly released update - MIDI Mobilizer 2 - Be careful as they look pretty similar.
Cheers,
Marino.

this solutions only work for MIDI , not OSC right?
there is no way of passing network data by wired connection on the iPad

Hi
I think the key factor is the devices need to be 'driverless' as in 'no special driver need' . . .
So I guess if there are driverless usb ethernet adaptors out there then they possibly would work for OSC.
Not sure if there are though so you'd need to do a search and try some out and report back . .
*Edit- What am I saying? There is of course the Apple USB Ethernet for the MacBook Air -
pretty sure it is plugnplay but it may have drivers in the system so may not work on the iPad . . .
Cheers

Hi ruigato,
OSC only work through Wi-Fi and not USB.
Hope that helps.

Alesis iO Dock is a great interface but bear in mind that it blocks all incoming SYSEX messages.anaisyourfriend wrote:Forget all the above
