Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
I dont know if any other guys in the forums are as much interested as I am in what exactly this thing will let us do with our Lemurs.
I think we might as well see "Push", sequencers, LiveControl-esque stuff and all sorts of wicked stuff on Lemur with it.
Im definitely gonna dive right in.

Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
can we get OSC in/out of it?
Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
Not at its current version, although from what I've read, the devs of Bitwig Studio are planning to implement OSC support amongst other things....
I had a quick look at the API - and although to me, inexperienced as I am, I wasnt exactly fond of the way it is provided it provides great potential - I 've posted this small video elsewhere but I'll post it here too.

If someone like me who has a very small knowledge of javascript can do this in 2 days...imagine what can be done, by an experienced programmer.

Unfortunately that Package format is pretty much standard fare for Javascript . .
And I must admit I have never really like it either, but then I have not done a huge amount of Javascript either . .
Certainly looks like I will have to dive in a bit deeper sooner or later . . . .
Cheers

Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
softcore, how are you talking from Lemur to Bitwig if no OSC? thx
Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
also, anyone know if we can interface directly with the Java behind the script interface or whether its js only...?
Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
Hi
My guess is standard MIDI for comms . .
From what i have seen in the scripting guide - No - you need to use their API in Javascript . . .
Documentation is inside the application bundle . ..
Cheers

ah yes... ugh, I knew I should have Midi'd up all my lemur stuff... ah well, there's a reason to get on it :0
Re: Bitwig Open Controller Scripting API & Lemur
Are there any hardware controllers working with it yet , or is there bitwigs equivalent of remote scripts supplied with the software that can be utilised/modified etc.
the ohmRGB looks like a good start
or Nektar panorama can't get any details on this though unless you own one
