Hi all,
I just got one of these magic devices, and I'd love to have more real-time control. Has anyone tried to make a Lemur template for this, or maybe the Kawai K4 (as they are very similar under the hood)?

Re: Kawai XD-5 template
Hello,
I also own a xd5.
I had some experience in the past doing sysex, but i,m completely new with lemur.
If you already got a clear idea on how to set up sysex on a fader i'd like to start a xd5 template.
Let me know

Re: Kawai XD-5 template
So I've been slowly understanding SysEx, with the primary goal of controlling the XD-5. I have yet to try making a template in Lemur for it, but based on the chart located here: http://www.kawaius-tsd.com/OM/MODULE%7E1/XD-5WA%7E1.PDF, I send a message of "0xF0 0x40 0x0A 0x10 0x00 0x06 0x23 0x00 0x32 0xF7" to set the filter cutoff to 50 for Source 1 on midi channel 10 from my X-Station, and the unit did not respond. I've sent SysEx from the X-Station to other hardware, so I'm wondering if there might be some limitation to the Kawai preventing it from responding. If anyone here happens to have the XD-5 and wishes to try sending it SysEx messages simply to help me troubleshoot, I'd be much obliged.
