Ok an update on this...Apparently, for Pro Tools to work with Mackie Control Pro, the latter needs to be set up in a different "HUI" compatible mode so there may be differences in the way the controls function as opposed to my Mackie emulation.

So, I'll have to check what are the differences based on what people have found by reverse engineering the thing - I also found this document which may help me a lot

I'll also have a look at the Reaper links posted above - I believe all the info we want is inside these documents.
(actually Im posting the links here so I can find them when working on it without re-searching on Google)
I truly believe we can nail the sucker down!

We 'll chat more about this, the following week.

Re: Lemur with Pro Tools?
Oh forgot - in the meantime, whoever of you guys, feels adventurous you can try the following - download my Sonar LeMackie template (you can find it in the user library, follow the link in my signature) and just for the fun of it, consult your Pro Tools manual on how to set up a "Mackie Control Pro" (or a HUI compatible controller).
Then try my template - does ANYTHING at all, work? Like, the pots or the faders or anything?
Just to know where we stand!

Re: Lemur with Pro Tools?
so, after looking at the PT user manual it appears there are not many options for MIDI DAW controllers. Mackie HUI seems the best option. This control surface has not yet been emulated with Lemur as far as I know. Mackie Control probably won't work with PT, it appears this protocol is not implemented.
This document http://www.mslinn.com/sites/mike/studio ... DIMap.html, already posted by Softcore, seems to be a good starting point. Although I'm not sure if the faders will work. But the pan pots already do in your last attempt. I think most of the functions can be realised with Lemur, probably all, including parameter feedback and channel name display.
The fact that I and others here don't have PT is of course a bit a problem, but together we should be able to make a working Lemur template for ProTools.
