Re: Generic Remote question

wish I could be of more help, but my attempt is still in the early stage. And I'm spending a lot of time for catching up with another template for a synth that got an update with additional features.

As you probably know, with AlphaTrack you have an endless encoder to select Cubase channels using one MIDI CC. Very well replicated by Macciza. And also two note commands to advance one track to the left or to the right, in which a repeat script could be used. Two approaches, different from the Generic Remote approach where you can select directly.

I'm rather slow in developing my templates. Always behind a month or two. So good luck!

Thanks for the input Phil. I really need direct track access, so not sure if I can make AT work the way I want it to. Will keep persisting, this template seems to work so there has to be a way

I don't know how he selects channels, but technically this can be done as we know already, with the Generic Remote. Like in the video it will work only if the the Cubase project has a known channel arrangement. Without known channel arrangement it would work with numbers, not channel names*. In Lemur, the channel name can be gathered with the AT or MCU protocol.

*well there are ways to make this work as well.

Yea I can handle setting up a template specific genericremote for selecting targeted tracks, but that weird feedback/last cc instead of current cc sent on press is screwing up what's displayed on my lemur template.

that's why I would use it only for one-way. Only for selecting in your case. In my case I use it only for receiving. Don't forget to set the correct flags in the Generic Remote.
