Hi -
I am new to Lemur, MIDI, and scripting and am attempting to assemble my own template for the Waldorf Blofeld. I figured it would be easier to learn by choosing a synth for which a template already exists. I think I have the basics down fairly well, but am totally lost with scripting. I refer to the manual, to various online tutorials, etc., and think I get it, and then don't. I am starting to feel really frustrated and could use some help so that I can get back to music.
I wrote a few paragraphs tearing apart one of my pages in the hopes of getting solutions, but my template is too large to upload to the forum, so I am wondering if anyone would be willing to assist me directly. Reason besides your general kindness: I think I have a nice design going (no negative comment about the already-uploaded template implied!) and perhaps you would enjoy collaborating on something that may make your Blofeld more enjoyable to use. I also like the tedium of design layout - perhaps I could help you with something you are working on, spend a few hours making it look nicer (even if I don't actually have the synth in question).
Just for general reference, my issues include - certain (not all) sysex strings not working for me, even though they are identical to the ones in the existing Blofeld template, an inability to create a working script to change the content of a text box based on the movement of a fader, and just some general noob issues in deciphering the Blofeld sysex document itself.
Thanks!
