Simple Question

I did some searching in both forums and KB but didn't find anything that addressees this:

So, I have TouchOSC and TouchOSCBridge. And I downloaded LiveControl 2.1. But don't
I need to somehow get a new template into TouchOSC?

They have a LiveControl template but I think that's for an earlier version. When I choose
it, no messages arrive in Ableton. But if I switch to the Simple template then messages
do arrive. (Though the drum pads are a bit off.)

Do I need an updated template inside TouchOSC that would match the LiveControl 2.1
template that i added to Ableton (using the packager)?

Unfortunately (for users of TouchOSC) LiveControl version2 and afterwards is not a TouchOSC template anymore - you need to have Lemur because its a Lemur template (fortunately for Lemur users).

In other words, you need to buy Lemur to use LC2

Thanks for the reply. I had actually already bought lemur but was forcing myself to get TouchOSC
to work first. Ha. So I swtiched to Lemur and figured it out. The documentation on this is not particularly
good. It took me a long time to figure out that I needed use the Lemur Editor to move the template
onto the iPad. That wasn't really included in any of the quick start guides..or at least not in the ones
i saw...

...anyway, it works now, thanks!
