Kitara style on Lemur possible?

Post by chatpimuk24 »

Hi! i'm considering buying the Lemur but i have a question before my purchase.

is it possible to do kitara style notes trigger on lemur?
Here's the kitara: http://youtu.be/M2eiP12hQQY

basically, i have a midi keyboard and normally it would trigger midi note upon key hits. Instead, i want to send what note to be played with midi keyboard and trigger the note with lemur's xy pad.

I'm using ableton live by the way.

any help would be appreciated! :)

Seems possible with a multiball object (XY pad) although Im not quite sure what "should" happen when you move the balls (the XY pads)...Pitchbend? Something else? Also, when multiple fingers are on the multiball (XYpad) which one triggers which note? All these things need to be considered, but all in all, perfectly possible I think!

Agree with softcore. Looks totally possible/fun to build but I'm not entirely clear on what is happening so it's hard to confirm.

I've been doing things like this for a while, more or less using the Lemur as an autoharp. It's a lot of fun, for sure.
