If I buy Lemur on iPhone - do I need to repurchase for iPad?
Just wanted to know. I've used several iOS apps that once I bought them on iPhone I could download them again on an iPad without any trouble. If you purchase Lemur on the iPhone would you need to purchase it again if you wanted to use it on the iPad?

Yes - Purchases are linked to your iTunes account and can be d/l for all your devices.
iMac 2.8G i7 12G 10.6.8/10.7.2, Legacy Dexter/Lemur, Liine Lemur/iPad2, KMI SoftStep, 12Step & QuNeo , B-Controls, Mackie C4 etc
MaxMSP, Live Suite, Native Instrument stuff, etc Modified Virtual Guitar System etc All Projects/Modules © CC-BY-NC-SA[*][/b]

Yes? So, if I want to use Lemur on my iPhone and my iPad I will need to purchase it twice?
I couldn't quite get the answer you provided. I know that all purchases are linked to my iTunes account, but I just didn't know whether or not I could simply download it without having to purchase it again.

Sorry for the misunderstanding
I meant 'Yes- You can download it again on an iPad without any trouble'
Because it is linked to your account - same as the other apps . .
I am not aware of any apps that support all devices that won't let you download them onto your other devices, do you?
So No you don't need to purchase it twice . .

Thanks for that, I just wanted to be absolutely sure.
I've heard of a few apps where the full version was available on iPad, but also available on iPhone under a different name "Product XYZ Lite version" etc, and had to be paid for again, essentially the same product but bigger interface.
I'm glad Lemur is available on all platforms. I'm going to give it a go. I think it's going to be very useful, even if the iPad/iPhone doesn't detect finger pressure (which would breathe new life into Lemur especially so when doing keyboard work). It's perfect as a way to control parameters, effects, toggling buttons/switches, etc though, and that is where it truly shines.

Just to add: where it truly shines is when you incorporate scripting in it......
It literally ADDS capablilties to otherwise simple effects - synths. Imagine preset saving, parameter morphing and randomizing and all sorts of modulatory madness.

I'm with you Softcore, but the lack of velocity/pressure sensitivity is a big let-down. But I blame the iPad hardware for this problem since velocity/pressure detection in an iPad is essentially a hardware function. I just wish the iPad could detect how fast/hard you touch it and detect continuous pressure of the touch - of all 10 fingers. If it can do that, guess what? It would virtually render all hardware MIDI controllers obsolete...well, for me anyway.

Truth is, no matter how convenient and useful and modular I find this whole touch surface thing, even if it DID support pressure - velocity, I still dont think it would make "traditional" ways of interacting with music instruments obsolete. I believe each form - method has its own advantages and usage cases. So, in that mindframe, when using touch surfaces there are all sorts of ways of interaction that you can (merely) forget about velocity and pressure or substitute them with something more apropriate for the "medium"
