Getting Ableton's bars and beats to display on lemur

Post by pianoboy »

Hi,

I am trying to figure out a way to get Ableton's bars and beats to appear on the lemur. One route was to set up a "fake" Mackie Control and then use the SurfaceLCD in Timecode mode. This is fine as long as my song in ableton stays in 4/4, which it doesn't.

Is there a way to accomplish this? I've been searching forums and haven't come up with anything.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Bump...
Are there any templates out there that demonstrate this?

Well a not-so-scientific way of going about this would be to use a seperate midi track, create a midi clip in it with some strategically placed notes, send the track output to Lemur, then use some scripting logic in Lemur to count those notes and calculate bars and beats.

I've been using that method to create a makeshift bar/beat indicator on my launchpad. How would you convert that to large digits in Lemur?
