Why dont you just use a midi clip with, say, one note on each 1/4 or 1/16 (or whatever the resolution of metronome you desire) and then use a couple of pads mapped to the same note the midi clip is transmitting?

Of course the "official" way would be to use Lemur's built-in midi clock args which can be used in conjuction with software sending midi clock messages - but the above way is an "easy" way to go about it.

Could someone quickly tell me how to map the pad to the midi notes coming from ableton? Sorry for the noob question. Do I need to write any scripts, or is it a simple mapping? I have two-way communication with ableton, and the pad is able to trigger midi notes. How to I get it to blink?

Thanks!

Actually, I just figured it out. I was trying to do it with note on messages. Controller messages worked perfectly.
