I'm currently working on an interface to control multiple synth program-changes with pad-objects and scripting. I've run in to a problem with the Alesis Micron and I was hoping you guys could help me out with the scripting.
The Micron uses standard MIDI Bank Select Protocol - so, a preset is loaded as a MIDI Bank # and Program # (for example: Bank 3, Program 78).
For the other synthesizers in the interface, I'm using pads to control a fader that is set to send program change messages to a particular synth on a particular midi channel. But when I do this with the Micron, I can only navigate through presets in Bank 1.
So, my question to you guys is: can I send "midi bank + program" messages with scripting in a pads-object?
Hope you guys can help me out, 'cause I'm stuck!
