I'm a little confused on the setup here. I've got it all wired in, the Daemon inputs/outputs all have track, sync and remote on, and when I play the track in Live, it says there's a midi signal coming in, but the sequencer's not working

Edit: the sequencer's working, but it re-enters the midi-notes on every cycle and I can't delete them from within the sequencer.

Very interesting, not to far off from an idea I've been batting around in my head.

I like the idea of building a TB-303 style step sequencer that operates solely in lemur. I always thought that was a fun way to write out a pattern.

I'm having a hard time conceptualizing how to make a slide, particularly when sliding between different notes (sliding between the same note is as simple as maintaining the note out for an extra step)

Is this usable in any way with Traktor?
I would be interested in creating loops on top of tracks on the fly, is that possible in any way?

What yuo are asking to do is Live's territory....

Thats said, and if you really dont want to abandon Traktor (which I cant have an opinion because the truth remains its more of a DJing application than what Live will ever be), IF, and thats a big IF, Traktor's remix decks or what its called nowadays can be mapped to Midi and can store large amounts of one shot samples you could theoritically use any step sequencer to trigger them - topic's included. But in practise, I think you would be better off switching to Live.

Howdy!

Great lemur work, TotalMeltdown!
I've had a great time wiring your little sequencer up to Traktor (now that it has midi support for remix decks), it makes DJ'ing so much more fun and creative :)

My only problem, so far, is the way NoteOffs are handled. I looked through the code to the best of my ability, and the way I get it, NoteOn messages are trigged by active steps, and NoteOffs by any step, active or inactive?

I understand that Lemur does have it's limitations script wise, but I was wondering if there might be another way? Perhaps use Midi_Clocks mod'ed down to 32'th notes to send a NoteOff after half a step length?

I'm getting audio buffer trouble in traktor with the amount of midi messages being sent, which sucks a bit :(

Thanks!

greetings!

yeah, great work TotalMeltdown - it's kind of crazy that that is first introduced in 2012
a basic sequencer on lemur - I trigger samples with it in a custom M4L patch - works great!
my problem is maybe the same as salvusignis'
as I use the notes from the sequencer to trigger a "bang" in M4L
it triggers 2 bangs with values "127" & shortly after "0"
so every aktive step triggers my sample 2 times....
I hope you are not disappeared from this world & could help out
- btw what are you working on at the moment in general?

peace
