Project submission terms
Version 2026-09-06
These terms cover projects you publish in MIDI Kinetics Community.
Sharing your work
We welcome creators who share or sell Lemur projects. By publishing, you confirm that you own your submission or have permission to share it, including its files, code, images and descriptions. Respect other people's copyright, trademarks and privacy. Do not include personal information, credentials or private material without permission.
Your ownership and licence
You keep ownership of your work. You give MIDI Kinetics permission to store your submission, display it in Community and provide the downloads you choose to publish. This permission covers running Community, including previews, search listings and backups; it does not transfer your copyright.
Select a licence you are entitled to offer for attached files, and preserve any third-party notices and obligations. For externally hosted projects, make your licence available at the destination. A Paid label does not limit rights granted by MIT or Unlicense, including redistribution. Use a compatible custom licence if you need different restrictions.
Free and paid projects
Choose Free when the project described in your listing is available without a required payment to you. Choose Paid when full access requires a purchase, subscription or paid unlock, including when the attachment is a free demo. Optional donations do not make a project paid. Describe any demo limits, additional costs and required software clearly.
Selling independently
You may sell through your own site or another service. Publishing here does not make you a partner, employee, agent or business associate of MIDI Kinetics or its employees and associates, and does not imply their endorsement.
You are responsible for lawfully distributing and selling your project, including your customer terms, payment arrangements, applicable taxes, support, refunds and any warranties you offer or are required to provide. Community does not process those sales or provide support for your product. Nothing here limits rights that applicable law gives your customers.
Names and branding
Do not use MIDI Kinetics, MK or Lemur as the primary name of a commercial project, brand or service. You may accurately describe compatibility in supporting text, such as “a controller for Lemur.” Do not suggest that your project is an official MIDI Kinetics product. If in doubt, contact support.
Accurate and safe submissions
Your listing must provide the project as an attachment or link to a page where it is easy to find. Keep its description, availability and Free or Paid choice accurate. Do not distribute malware, deceptive downloads or material you cannot lawfully share. Follow the upload limits shown in the editor. Automated checks do not replace your responsibility for the files you distribute.
Warranties and disclaimers
MIDI Kinetics makes member projects and external project links available “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee their safety, accuracy, compatibility, quality or continued availability. Hosting, reviewing or linking to a project does not mean we endorse it or guarantee that it is free of defects, harmful code or infringement of another person's rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MIDI Kinetics disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties concerning member projects, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. This disclaimer concerns warranties from MIDI Kinetics; it does not remove any warranty or other obligation you offer or are legally required to provide as the creator or seller.
Limits on our liability
You remain responsible for your project and its distribution, including claims arising from its content, licensing or sale. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MIDI Kinetics and its employees and business associates are not liable for claims, damages or losses arising from member projects or external project sites, including their distribution, download, use, purchase or unavailability. This includes damage to devices, loss of data or profits, and indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or takes away rights and remedies that applicable law does not allow you or your customers to waive.
Community moderation
We encourage creative diversity. MIDI Kinetics may hide or remove submissions that violate these terms, harm members or infringe others' rights. We also reserve the right to remove projects substantially similar to our own commercial projects. If you are unsure whether this applies to your work, contact support before publishing. You can also contact support about a moderation decision.
Hiding a project
You may hide your project from Community. It will no longer be offered publicly here, though backup copies may remain for recovery. Hiding or removing a listing does not retrieve copies already downloaded or cancel rights already granted under its licence.
