Re: Sending Sysex Data from Pushbutton
So, to answer your first question, the reason why I wasn't getting my sysex messages through to my Roland XV-5080 synth is because Sysex echo wasn't enabled on my sequencer (Sonar X3). Once I got my sysex messages to through my sequencer to my synth (and used your example to make a working custom ...

Re: Sending Sysex Data from Pushbutton
Good news! I am finally able to get sysex transmitted from my custom button all the way through to my Roland XV-5080 and my XV5080 responds correctly! I'm very happy with these results so far and want to thank you, Macciza, for all of your help. Right now, I currently have one "EFX On" button to ...

Re: Sending Sysex Data from Pushbutton
Macciza, I was able to get the Lemur editor to finally take my Sysex string, but when I push the button, no Sysex is sent. How can I tell? I can tell because I have two other buttons on the same display that use "note on" instead of Sysex and have the same object target settings and my sequencer ...

Sending Sysex Data from Pushbutton
Hi all, I'm trying to send a sysex string {0xF0, 0x41, 0x10 ...} from a push button on my Lemur iOS display. The problem is, when I push the button on the iPad Lemur app, no sysex data is being sent out. I know that my connection (Object Target = MIDI 0) is working because I have other buttons on ...

Re: Transmitting MIDI messages (in Hex) using Lemur Object
Hi oldergearguy. I opened up your file and took a look at the data field of the MIDI Mapping page for the button you made and it looks like you entered a series of non-hexadecimal numbers seperated by commas, but didn't enclose them in brackets (e.g. {65, 16, 0, 18, 31, 0, 2, 0, 4, 91}). Someone ...

Re: Using Lemur to Send Midi Messages
Thanks Macciza. Reading your replies, I have a lot better idea how to create a button to do what I want. To answer your question, I don't plan on making a full on editor, only a custom controller that can select one of the many effects that my Roland synth uses and can also turn that effect on or ...

Transmitting MIDI messages (in Hex) using Lemur Object
Can somebody explain to me how to transmit a MIDI message (in Hex format) to a hardware synth using a Lemur object (such as a slider or push button). More specifically, what I am trying to do is make a custom Lemur template that will be able to select and control the type of effects on my Roland XV ...

Re: Using Lemur to Send Midi Messages
Thanks guys for all of your replies. Basically, I want to take a MIDI message (as shown in the MIDI message field of attached picture) and send it to my Roland XV-5080 synth using a Lemur object (e.g. button, fader, etc). I'm not sure if I should be using SYSEX or not, but all of the other ...

Using Lemur to Send Midi Messages
Hi all. I'm new to using Lemur I would like to know how to use a Lemur object (button, fader, etc) to transmit MIDI messages to a synthesizer (Roland XV-5080). Basically, what I want is to do is to use MIDI messages to be able to select the synth's effects (such as reverb or chorus) and turn these ...
