Re: 8 Channel Surround Panner
Dave, I tried what you are saying which is essentially a linear relationship distance from speaker to MIDI volume. It doesn't work for the same reason that pan pots on a mixing board are not linear - you get a "hole in the middle" effect where panning to the center is softer than panning either hard ...

Re: iConnectMIDI2+ DOES work with Lemur!
Catman and Wulrt01, I went to the iConnectMIDI2+ for exactly the same reason: something kept turning off the WIFI radio in my laptop which, of course, made lemur quit working rendering it useless. Since I started using the hardwired interface it has been rock solid and lightning fast. It's the only ...

Re: iConnectMIDI2+ DOES work with Lemur!
I'm no expert, but with the iConnect MIDI2+ you do have a MIDI in and out as well as the USB ports which include 4 virtual USB ports. Certainly between all those ports you should be able to do what you want to do.

iConnectMIDI2+ DOES work with Lemur!
Here are the settings I used to make Lemur work using a hard wired connection. I confirmed it worked by rebooting my pc, rebooting the iPad and disconnecting the iConnectMIDI2 wiring to start completely from scratch. The debugging process was hampered significantly because over the course of testing ...

8 Channel Surround Panner
I thought this was possible in Lemur but now I'm not so sure... The situation : doctoral dissertation using 8 independent mono channels of audio. The audio is NOT 5.1 or 7.1 since those are forward-biased formats with more speakers towards the front of the listening area because these formats were ...

Re: 8 channel surround panning
Thanks for the quick answer! I have 8 mono channels I would like to pan using Lemur for a joystick style interface. Center is all channels at equal volume. My speakers are arranged equidistantly in a circle one every 45 degrees (NOT 5.1 or 7.1 so typical panners oriented towards those formats won't ...

Working on a doctoral dissertation involving 8 channel surround using Lemur as a control surface/8 channel surround panner.
