thanks so much for your reply, I'm just not sure how to set my as hoc network to a static IP, when I create it I go into network preferences and there is no where obvious that I can see where I set it to be static?

Hi, I've been sieving through the forum and found some info/ help but I'm still getting really frustrated. I seem to be able to connect ipad/ lemur app to my mbp very inconsistently, I have to create an ad hoc network everytime I want to use it. Most of the time it just wont be seen by the editor ...
