Thanks for the quick reply. The copying works great from the editor. I'll look into trying it with itunes. Where is the default location of lemur projects ( on a Mac) I created a new project folder when i first installed the editor and I neglected to copy that material into my directory.

Good news here - my problem seems to stem from a corrupt project . Once i rebooted and reassembled the project all the editing worked smoothly with no crashes or oddities
