Don't know how much use this will be to anyone but I've discovered that setting up the midi script "oscout(1, '/midi', MIDI_ARGS);" with the appropriate setup allows you to convert the midi from any controller plugged in to the iPad into OSC. Mu is not set up in Live's preferences. All you need to do is drag the Mu Max for Live Device into the master track of your Live Set. Once that is done the device should automatically find your Lemur however it's a good idea to close lemur editor or at least stop lemur mirroring as this can interfere.

Right I see your problem now. I haven't tried this myself but a possible workaround would be to use your current script as an intermediary and have another script that actually outputs the midi hopefully the on expression execution function won't trigger unless the value actually changes, but like I ...

Is there any reason that you can't use the grid functionality built into the fader object? If not then that will provide a much simpler solution

Thanks so much Spinnen I'd been selecting the default container and exporting that instead of selecting all the components and exporting them. I see how that could have been causing a problem with loading it into a container although there should perhaps be some mention of this in the documentation ...
