which tablet works best?

So I guess ipad is the standard.
Any one having success with windows based devices?
I will interface with a widows PC.

Android and Ios only!
A Surface will not work (i think someone here on the forum managed to do it with an adroid emulator of some sort, you have to search..)

Setting up an Android emulator isn't the easiest thing in the world, but I've done it before. iOS seems to be the most reliable based on what I've seen here. There's a good resource here https://forum.liine.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5584&p=21051&hilit=android+tablet#p21051

Thanks for the replies, So essentially iPad is the only device to use then. So need to control the PC as well, guessing VNC for that.

Your original question was unclear to me. You can use an iPad to send and receive midi or OSC from a PC. You don't need to use VNC

Also, do you have a Surface? I'm willing to create a VirtualBox Android VM and upload it here if someone with a Surface is willing to work on debugging/verifying it works for me
