Lemur to Control Hardware Instruments

Hopefully someone can assist me with some of the basics on my first and most important button in my Lemur template.
"Play"!

I have Lemur on an iPad4 connected to connect midi 4.
This is going to be driving my Midi Chain of devices, I hope.
I am starting with testing on Roland TR-8 and optionally Akai Rhythm Wolf, just so I have a second device.

I was able to figure this- Make a button, Obj Target = 0 iconnectmidi4 on midi port 1 -connection is good.
Target = 0
Message = FA - Start Song.

This appears to trigger the TR-8 because I see the tempo screen go from internal number to "---"
play does not start and the internal tempo is displayed after two seconds.

So, I think I am close, but the device is probably waiting for MTC for its tempo, getting nothing and timing out.

Can someone please assist me at getting transport control setup for these drum machines. I want to use their internal patterns as to keep TR-8 functions like Scatter, Delay, Reverb and Etc.
