Loosing connection to iMac

Hi, newbie question:
I keep on loosing connection between my iMac 12.2(os 10.8.5) (running only lemur editor) and my retina iPad running only lemur app....obviously I cannot kill the blutooth-connection to my mouse and keyboard...is that a problem?
I have not yet tried if connections are better with the MacBook Pro 8.1...
?

Have you tried with static IP? I had the same problem and this solved the problem.
hi Mr Corba, i don't suppose you could explain how you do the static IP thing could you? i'm having trouble finding what this means.
