Sequencer controlling modular, no computer

Hi people,
Is it possible to create a sequencer that runs solely on the Lemur (not controlling one on a computer), and make it send midi-info to a midi-CV-converter in a modular synthesizer system and have it work? If so, what where would be a good place to start out?

there are a couple of sequencers in the user library, you can start with those.
