Not sure why I can't set(array,value,position)

I have a project level variable "a". I'd like it to be an array of 3 values.

The manual says that I should be able to change any of the values of "a" to whatever I value want.

But

set(a,12,0);

doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

Hmm, maybe try being explicit
a=(set(a,12,0);
