Is this possible?

So I finally got my hands on the lemur app and I´m loving it so far! I spent quite a few hours today trying to design a layout for ableton but I can´t figure out how to do the following:

Asumme I launch a clip on ableton by pressing one button of my template. Is it possible for the lemur app to "receive" or find out the name of the clip?

Even better: is there any programming control which I can use to tell the lemur to retrieve the names of the clips currently being used on Live or is that impossible?

What you describe is exactly what MU does (see at premium content). But you need a max4live license to use it.
Sending names is not possible in Midi. It is done by OSC....like m4l use it.

haha, lol. I know what you mean. Was the same with me for the first half year with the lemur...
But in the end OSC is no magic...just 2 IPs and a port number. And it is much more faster than Midi! (really-much more)
I use many MidiControlChange messages in my setup to control plugins. In heavy use I can see communication slowing down, specially feedback. I wish I could control them via OSC. So beneath the possibility to send names there are some more goodies in OSC
I guess if you invest some time in getting into it, it will pay out on the long run.
